The Linen Loft is a lovely boutique company which specialises in home parties similar to those run by The Body Shop or Jamie At Home. They sell a beautiful range of bedding, children’s’ bedding and home accessories that are perfect if you are looking for something a little bit special. They have a website at www.linenloft.co.uk where you can buy any of products offered at their parties and this week I was lucky enough to be invited to the opening of their new store near Knutsford in Cheshire.
I really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful products, it’s the kind of place where I could buy up half the shop. The quality is high end but with prices which are more affordable than similar high street shops. Joanne Napier who founded the company explained that she tries to find smaller local or family suppliers to give her products that something special. I particularly liked the range of candles and fell in love with a Christmassy orange and cinnamon scented one which I was lucky enough to take home with me. With Christmas fast approaching (Shhhh I know it’s not after Halloween yet but still..) there are some fab ribbons and tags you could use to make your Christmas presents stand out from the crowd – think brown paper and red ribbon.
When the company started out Joanne focused on beautiful bed linens and ways to dress your bedrooms. She was kind enough to show us various simple but effective ways of dressing a bed in different colour schemes and it left me wishing I still had a guest room to redecorate. Of the colour schemes she demonstrated I really liked the grey and purple range, in fact if I didn’t have duck-egg curtains and wall paper I might have been tempted to buy the whole lot there and then.
There’s also a lovely range for children’s rooms, pretty pinks for girls and stars and stripes for boys. My son would love the wigwam play tent and I expect I wouldn’t see him for hours on end.
There were so many lovely things I was spoilt for choice but in the end I decided to buy a pretty dolly and nightdress for my daughter’s Christmas present. The dolly has fairy wings to match the embroidery on the nightdress and I just know she’s going to love them.
