January’s Celebration Cakes and Bakes Roundup

I’m not sure which month is officially the most depressing but for me it has to be January, it’s cold, dark and long. On the bright side there were some lovely cakes linked to this month’s Celebration Cakes and Bakes to cheer me up.

The first two entries were my very own Christmas Day cake and the Leaving cakes My husband took on his last day in his old job.

Next the lovely Jenny Paulin from Mummy Mishaps linked a fabulous Peppermint and White Chocolate cake decorated with brightly coloured stars of Renshaw baking’s ready to roll icing.

Tracey from Dilsy does again linked a very inventive cake, this time a Scrambler cake for her twin brothers’ birthday.

Next up Debbie from Johnson Babies who also had twins to bake for. For her sons’ 3rd birthday she made an amazing Mike the Knight cake using the topsy turvey cake tins she won in the Great blogger’s bake off.

Debbie also linked a second cake made with the same tins, this time using Renshaw Baking’s ready to roll icing. It is lovely and bright and uses the same cookie cutters I used in one of my own recent posts.

Finally Fiona from Mummy’s little stars added this great Princess cake complete with a vintage barbie.

Thank you to everyone who linked up and helped to brighten my month. I hope you’ll be able to link up again next month.
