Foodies festival 19th May

Yesterday was the last day of Foodies festival at Tatton Park which I wrote about a few weeks ago and we were lucky enough to be invited to attend along with a few other bloggers from Blogs up north. We were given one VIP ticket and one standard ticket meaning that I got the free glass of bubbly and hubby got to be the designated driver 🙂 the kiddywinks got in free as they were under 12.

We had a lovely day, we listened to Justine Forrest talk about her new book and weight loss progamme and watched her bake Banana Cake and Breakfast cookies.

We had lunch at the Stolen Lamb pop up restaurant- both the lamb and chicken dishes were delicious.

There was a wide variety of stalls to look around and the adventure playground near the festival was great for when little people needed to blow off steam.

Finally I sat in on the chocolate truffle making session in the chocolate theatre with  Coeur De Xocolat and learnt how to make ganache for truffles, which I adapted that night when I was making my chocolate and vanilla hidden heart cupcakes for world baking day.

It was a beautiful sunny day and thoroughly tired out our two lovely little monsters. We will certainly be visiting Tatton Park again as the walks and the playground would be great for a sunny picnic.
