December’s Celebration Cakes And Bakes Linky

cc&b_badgeSo Advent starts today and Christmas is just around the corner. I’d love to see some of the cakes you’ve all been making for the festive season, but it doesn’t just have to be seasonal, any birthday, christening or occasion cakes are welcome. I’ll even be linking up a resignation cake in a couple of days time!

A quick reminder of what the linky is about:

It’s about baking something for a special occasion, whether it’s a house move, new job, new baby, birthday, Christmas or Anniversary.

It doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s about sharing something that you spent time making for someone you care about.

Maybe you haven’t baked for years but decided you wanted to make your child’s first birthday cake yourself?

Or you might have baked a giant cookie and iced it like the ones in that well known cookie shop.

Nigella Lawson says in Kitchen goddess that she sometimes makes brownies for a birthday cake and just adds candles.

Whatever the occasion if you’ve made a celebratory bake for someone I’d love it if you linked up a post about it here.

Duerr’s Jams have offered a lovely selection of Jams to go to one lucky entrant picked at random.

To be in with a chance of winning link up a post about your celebration bake using the widget below. All posts will be entered into a random draw for the prize once the linky closes at midnight on the 28th December. I’ll post a round-up of the entries before the January Celebration cakes and bakes goes live.

Rules(not many):

You must have made the bake yourself – no buying from the local cake shop 😉

It must be a post about making the bake – it doesn’t have to be a full on recipe but it does need to be in the spirit of the thing.

It doesn’t need to be a new post it could be one from last year, but if it’s a seasonal celebration bake it should be appropriate – so no Easter cakes at Christmas :), save them for springtime.

Posts must include the Celebration Cakes & Bakes badge (grab the code below) and a link back to this page

Please comment on a few of the other entries – remember linkys only work if you spread the linky love!

That’s it! Have fun baking, if you tweet your entries to me @jaisee_mummy on twitter with the hashtag #CelebrationCakesAndBakes I will retweet any that I see.

    This was the challenge I wanted to enter my daughter’s birthday cake in last month! I knew there was a cake challenge and I thought I’d bookmarked it but didn’t, and Twitter didn’t answer me when I asked. Alas, I missed last month, but I’ll link up with this month. 🙂 You might want to share your linky with the Food Blog Diary – they list all the current monthly challenges so folk (like me) don’t forget 🙂
