You might have noticed that I like cake decorating and sugar craft, for example this morning I made some more of my Chocolate Orange Cupcakes with White Chocolate ganache, but instead of decorating them with chocolate hearts I made fondant flowers. They were for the Lady who has run my kiddies Tumble Tots class since they were tiny, she’s made the decision to sell and today is her last day. To make them I used plunger cutters, sugar pearls, tappit letter cutters and a textured mat. I always say that you can make lovely cakes with very little specialist equipment (for example I cut out the fondant circles with an upside down glass), however, if you really want to make it a hobby you do end up with quite a lot of stuff and I’m always on the lookout for new toys, which is why I’m so excited to be going to Cake International Manchester on 7-9th March.
Cake International is the most popular show of its kind in the world– The Sugarcraft, Cake Decorating and Baking Show will be returning to EventCity, Manchester from 7-9 March with all the latest ideas, supplies, demonstrations and workshops from the industry experts featuring a choice of supplies from more than 100 exhibitors from across the globe.
The queen of baking Mary Berry and cake decorating expert, Mich Turner will be opening the show on the Friday. Mary will be appearing on Friday and Saturday and Mich will be in attendance throughout the weekend, both will be showcasing their talents in The Cake International Theatre and offering top tips and advice in a Q + A session.
I have 5 pairs of tickets to the show to giveaway, valid for 1 day entry. Just enter using the widget below 🙂
