I’m so excited! Welcome to the launch of my very own brand new linky, Celebration Cakes and Bakes!!
It’s about baking something for a special occasion, whether it’s a house move, new job, new baby, birthday, Christmas, Halloween or Anniversary.
It doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s about sharing something that you spent time making for someone you care about.
Maybe you haven’t baked for years but decided you wanted to make your child’s first birthday cake yourself?
Or you might have baked a giant cookie and iced it like the ones in that well known cookie shop.
Nigella Lawson says in Kitchen goddess that she sometimes makes brownies for a birthday cake and just adds candles.
Whatever the occasion if you’ve made a celebratory bake for someone I’d love it if you linked up a post about it here.
There are lots of lovely food linkys around including Recipe of the week, Tea Time Treats and Calendar Cakes but I thought it would be nice to have a linky specifically for those extra special celebration bakes. The ones that you’re so proud of that you have a picture on your phone to show random people 😉 (or is that just me?).
To mark the launch of Celebration Cakes and Bakes the super generous people from Renshaw Baking have donated a brilliant prize for me to give away. A Christmas themed box containing marzipan, ready to roll white icing and the Christmas activity pack of coloured icing.
To be in with a chance of winning this amazing prize just link up a post about your celebration bake using the widget below. All posts will be entered into a random draw for the prize once the linky closes at midnight on the 28th November. There will be a round-up of the entries before the December Celebration cakes and bakes goes live.
Rules(not many):
You must have made the bake yourself – no buying from the local cake shop 😉
It must be a post about making the bake – it doesn’t have to be a full on recipe but it does need to be in the spirit of the thing.
It doesn’t need to be a new post it could be one from last year, but if it’s a seasonal celebration bake it should be appropriate – so no Easter cakes at Christmas :), save them for springtime.
Posts must include the Celebration Cakes & Bakes badge (grab the code below) and a link back to this page http://jaisee.com/mummymakescakes/celebration-cakes-bakes/
Please comment on a few of the other entries – remember linkys only work if you spread the linky love!
That’s it! Have fun baking, if you tweet your entries to me @jaisee_mummy on twitter with the hashtag #CelebrationCakesAndBakes I will retweet any that I see.

Entrant’s email addresses will be passed to Renshaw baking as part of the give away. If you don’t want your details forwarding please just leave a comment below stating that you don’t want to take part in the giveaway.
